“Where do I start?” is a completely normal question. Just a few years ago, it’s one I asked.
Whether the faith you grew up with no longer works for you or you are trying to make sense of faith for the first time, it is hard to know where to begin. Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music would tell us to start at the very beginning, which is a very good place to start. But where is the beginning?

Where to Start
No matter who you are, our monthly email newsletter is a good start. In it you will receive tools and wisdom to help you make sense of living by soul in a spirit of love.
But once that is done, what’s next? Here are a few options:
Dig Into the Bible
Maybe you want to start with the Bible. Perhaps you find the book important and yet deeply frustrating. The idea of exploring it from a fresh perspective resonates. Or maybe you are curious what Jesus looks like when freed from institutional Christianity. If that’s the case you should start with our podcast.
Connect With the Community
The Bible can be intimidating. It can also stir up traumatic memories. So instead of starting there, how about we kick things off by connecting with other people willing to ask questions? The Abundance Reconstructed Community is a radically inclusive community of spiritual misfits. Together we provide a safe place to:
- connect with others
- ask questions and wrestle with different perspectives
- engage in practices designed to nurture values of radical inclusivity, authenticity, kindness, and curiosity
Dig Into Your Story
Then again, maybe you want to get personal. That is why we offer soul guidance. It is one-on-one engagement designed to help you not only discover your soul story, but figure out how to love out of it. This is specifically about your abundant life.
It is this kind of work that allows me to define my abundant life this way:
Start with Something Practical
While a lot of the work we do at abundance reconstructed in rather nebulous and process oriented, not everybody functions that way. For people who want a clear set of tools, we offer courses.
Where Will You Start?
Now the only question is, “What path are you going to take?” Will you check out the podcast? Join the community? Sign up for soul guidance? Register for a course? There is no wrong answer and you are welcome to choose more than one. Whichever you choose, I look forward to connecting as we craft abundant lives from the shards of faith.
